Darwent Architecture were commissioned to design an affordable housing development in the Greenhill conservation area of Sheffield. Working closely with the local planners, we were able to create a development that sits harmoniously with the adjacent suburban dwellings and within the conservation area.
Maintaining the stone wall boundary and cladding the houses predominantly in gritstone provides a nod to the history of the area, whilst careful and efficient design has provided a scheme of four two-bedroom, semi-detached homes suitable for young professionals, elderly members of the community or young families just starting out.
